ABC challenge: Q is for…

Hi everyone and happy Monday! Today’s letter caused big panic when we organised this challenge because nobody looked like having any Q in their stash. But I did! And I was so proud of my Q!

Ciao a tutti e buon lunedì! La lettera di oggi ha generato il panico quando questa maratona alfabetica è stata organizzata. Nessuna sembrava avere uno smalto Q! Ma io sìììì, e ne sono così fiera!

Misa Quirky Smile

Misa Quirky Smile is part of their Fall 2010 collection but I think it’s still quite easy to find. I personally bought this one about 2 months ago during a sale in a Dutch online shop. Once again, you won’t found a realistic picture of this beauty in the blogosphere. Why do I end up always choosing shy to the camera polishes is still unknown. The best definition for it is teal. However, if you stumble upon blue pics, know that it’s greener than that. And if you stumble across greenish pictures, know that it’s bluer. I will be honest here, this baby really made me struggle classifying it because it’s such a unique shade in my stash. Of course that means I loved it! I did my best to make the pics colors true, but it was impossible.

Misa Quirky Smile fa parte della collezione autunnale 2010 ma penso che sia ancora abbastanza facile da trovare in giro. Personalmente l’ho comprato un paio di mesi fa durante i saldi su un sito olandese. Ancora una volta è uno smalto di cui non troverete foto realistiche in rete. Non so perchè finisco sempre con lo scegliere colori infotografabili! Immagino che la definizione più corretta per questo smalto sia color pavone. Vi avverto però che le foto che troverete online sono o verdi (e nella realtà è più blu), oppure blu (e nella realtà è più verde). Insomma, sarò onesta, io questo smalto ho fatto fatica a collocarlo in un dato colore perchè è davvero qualcosa di unico nella mia collezione. E naturalmente amo questa cosa! Ho cercato di fare in modo che le foto fossero realistiche ma.. è impossibile.

To show you it’s not blue and it’s not green either I compared it to a couple China Glazes: Rodeo Fanatic and Emerald Fitzgerald. The pics are not the best but you can see that Quirky Smile is not a green and it’s also a lot less blue than Rodeo Fanatic. Despite this big difference, Rodeo Fanatic is still the most similar shade to Quirky Smile in my stash.

Per farvi capire che non è nè blu nè verde ho provato a fare un piccolo paragone con due China Glaze: Rodeo Fanatic e Emerald Fitzgerald. Non vado pazza per le foto ma almeno potete vedere che Quirky Smile non è verde e non è blu quanto il Rodeo Fanatic. Nonostante questo il RF è sicuramente lo smalto che più si avvicina al Quirky Smile tra quelli che possiedo.

If you like this kind of colours I highly recommend looking for this one to add to your collection! I am sure you have nothing like it. And now let’s check if my buddies were able to finally find some Q’s!

Se vi piacciono questi colori io non posso che consigliarvi di cercarlo e accaparrarvelo. Sono sicura che non avete niente del genere. E adesso andiamo a vedere chi delle mie socie ha tirato una Q fuori dal cappello!
