Discontinued day: Ninja Polish Alexandrite

Hi everyone!

Time to join my blogger friends for discontinued day i.e. stuff that can’t be found in stores any longer, unless you score it in some blog sales or something like that!

My pick today is Ninja Polish Alexandrite. Not only was Alexandrite LE, but also this indie brand sadly no longer exists.

Back when it was released it was meant to be layered over a dark base to enhance the color shift. However I wanted it to be the same as the bottle and decided to layer it over Nabi Hologram Teal. The fine holo glitters just add some more sparkles, and the purple glitters make it different :)

E’ ora di unirmi alle mie smaltamiche per il discontinued day, quel giorno al mese dove vi facciamo vedere cose che non si trovano più sugli scaffali.

La mia scelta di oggi è il Ninja Polish Alexandrite, che non solo era uno smalto LE ma è anche un indie brand che purtroppo non esiste più.

Alexandrite era stato pensato per essere steso su un colore scuro per accentuarne il cambio colore. Io però volevo che rimanesse come nella boccetta e l’ho steso sul Nabi Hologram Teal. I finissimi glitter olografici aggiungono un po’ di sbrilluccichio, mentre i glitter viola lo rendono particolare.

    Nessun Ninja nella mia collezione, purtroppo.... li avevo puntati tanto tempo fa ma poi non ne ho fatto più nulla. Sigh.

    I really love how you layered it! I'm so sad they stepped away from the polish scene, but I was lucky enough to get Alexandrite. I'm going to have to try layering it this way! It looks beautiful.

    I bought this polish and sold it :( It looks so beautiful on everyone, but it just didn't work for me! It really looks amazing on you and you are making me wish I still had it!

      I can totally understand what you mean. There have been some lemmings that I finally got and once I had them on my nails I was kinda let down. Think OPI DS Glamour, I've wanted it for so long and in the end I didn't like it on my nails!

    Floam rimarrà per sempre nella mia wishlist anche se l'ho depennato dopo aver scoperto che non esiste più, questo brand T_T Cmq mi sono smascellata: Alexandrite è bellissimerrimo!

    This is a gorgeous polish! There were a few Ninjas I always wanted... very sad that they don't exist any more :-/

    Doppio discontinued! Non sapevo che fosse sparito proprio il marchio, avevo uno smalto in wishlist (per colpa tua se non ricordo male :-P), ma data la difficoltà di reperimento l'avevo già dato per impossibile. Peccato, anche questo è proprio bello!
