Birthstone challenge: turquoise

Hi everyone!

Last birthstone of the year, and actually my own birthstone as I am a December born!

Turquoise is one of the stones I like the most, not for the colour or whatever, I love the incredible patterns that make each of them absolutely unique.

That’s also one of the reason my nail art won’t be anything original, a very easy water spotted mani to create a turquoise pattern. I really did want to stay true to the real look of this beautiful stone.

My base colour is Sation Oh My Oceania and I used Kiko Quick Dry 813 Pearly Brown for the water spotted.

Ultima pietra natale dell’anno, e anche la mia pietra dato che sono nata in dicembre!

Il turchese è una pietra che mi affascina. Adoro come le striature di ogni pezzetto lo rendano diverso da ogni altro, e per questo assolutamente unico.

Questa è anche una delle ragioni per cui la mia nail art non è niente di originale, si tratta di una semplice water spotted. Volevo solo mantenere l’aspetto del turchese il più realistico possibile.

Lo smalto di base è il Sation Oh My Oceania e ho usato il Kiko Quick Dry 813 Marrone Perlato per la water spotted.

 

On my other hand I actually used Essence Date With The Night instead, just to see if it was any different. I think the end result is basically the same.

Nell’altra mano veramente ho usato l’Essence Date With The Night per vedere se c’erano differenze. E praticamente il risultato è lo stesso.

 

And that’s it! A break from Christmas manis, but I promise they are back soon!
