TNS Cosmetics 562 Altrove

Today's nail polish is the one carrying the name of TNS Cosmetics Firenze Spring-Summer 2019 collection: Altrove.

If you follow my blog you might know that TNS Cosmetics is my favourite Italian salon brand. I love their creme nail polish, not so much their shimmers. After seeing the promo pics I really wanted to test Altrove though. It kinda reminded me of a long discontinued shade by Catrice called Big Spender Wanted, plus I love golden shimmer. Well, I can tell you they are not even close.

TNS Cosmetics no. 562 Altrove is a dark pink with golden shimmer. It almost leans red actually. The golden shimmer is mostly visible in the bottle, not really on the nails. The formula is really good, application is easy (also thanks to the amazing brush). Coverage is okay in two coats, but you need three if you have longer nails otherwise you'll see the nail tip peeking through. It dries fast though so three coats are no problem. The finish is some kind of semi matte, it's not glossy which is surprising because the shimmer would sure deliver better that way. You can use a top coat anyway and it will help your mani last longer, too.

Last pic was shot in direct sunlight. The shimmer is more visible there, still not that super.

What can I say? I didn't expect this colour to be like it turned out to be. I think it's really pretty and extremely elegant. TNS is the best when it comes to create elegant shades. They have this thing that they turn any colour into a wearable one, even for those people who don't like to wear bright nails. Know what I mean? It's not that easy to do.
