Today’s finish for finishpedia is matte. You might think it’s quite easy to find some in everyone’s collection, uh? Not really. I found out I have loads and loads of satins and suedes but only two mattes! Wow, that surprised me.
Anyway, a matte nail polish is one that dries completely opaque and leaves no shine at all.

Oggi per la finishpedia si parla di matte. Penserete che è un finish facile da trovare, invece non è così! Mi sono resa conto di avere tanti smalti satin e suede, ma solo due matte! E credetemi, ne sono sorpresa.
Cmq, uno smalto matte si riconosce facilmente perchè asciuga completamente opaco e non riflette la luce.

The Deborah one is a bit more opaque than it shows in the photo, I guess I shot it when it was still a bit wet.
As I’ve said, I was a bit surprised not to find more mattes in my stash, I guess they aren’t as popular as I thought! Now I curious, how many real matte nail polish do you own?
Il Deborah è un po’ più opaco di come sembra nella foto, forse l’ho scattata che ancora non era completamente asciutto.
Come ho detto sopra sono stata sorpresa di non avere più smalti matte nella mia collezione. Evidentemente non sono poi così diffusi come pensavo. Adesso sono curiosa, voi quanti smalti effetto matte avete?

Mi sa che alla fine anche io ho più satin e/o suede rispetto ai matte... Mi sorge il dubbio di non averne proprio! Controllerò.

ReplyDeleteNe ho di sicuro tre (tutti Flormar), ma in effetti è difficile capire se uno smalto è matte finché non lo provi, e magari alla fine è un satin!
ReplyDeleteEsatto!! Ne ho messi almeno 4 per preparare questo post e solo il Deborah è stato davvero matte! Gli altri alla fine erano tutti satin!

DeletePochi, perché, andando a spulciarli, molti dei papabili erano satin e suède, come chez toi!
ReplyDeleteChe poi i suede li vedi bene dalla boccetta, ma satin e matte finchè non li usi mica lo sai!
DeleteIo di smalti propriamente matt non ne ho (ho solo il top coat matt).
ReplyDeletediciamo che questo finish mi piace abbastanza l'unico problema è che si scheggia troppo facilmente e mi dura meno degli altri smalti lucidi.
E' vero! Da quel punto di vista il top coat matte è l'opzione migliore!
DeleteBellissimo il SenseTech nero! Personalmente preferisco optare per le lacche da rendere opache all'occasione grazie ai top coat ad effetto matte. Lo trovo un modo più pratico per evitare di dover comprare dei doppioni in termini di colori ma con finish diversi. ;-)

DeleteHo tanti smalti matte e mi piacciono tantissimo :-) Spesso finisco anche le stamping o nail art manicure con uno strato di matte top coat :-)

DeleteMatte polish is always a tricky one. Matte topcoat is the easiest way to get it right.

DeleteMy stashlist tells me I own 18 mattes.. that's not much considering the total stash is 1176 polishes big :P.

DeleteTruthfully, I don't think I own any real matte polishes. I always just use a matte topcoat haha!

DeleteI have a couple of the NYX mattes as well and I really like them. I also don't have many mattes in my stash though - maybe 4?

DeleteI don't own that many matte polishes, but the ones i do own are all indie brands. Most of the time I think I prefer just using my matte topcoat though.

DeleteI looooove matte polishes and matte top coats. I'm pretty sure I own at least a dozen, and making something matte means there's a pretty good chance I'll impulse buy it at some point! I don't have either of these, though!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I always end up using matte top coats over nail arts honestly. I would avoid dupes for sure, but I can never resist mattes!

DeleteIl bianco lo trovo di un'eleganza estrema. A pensarci bene credo di avere anch'io solo due matte. Non amo tantissimo questo finish, perchè si rovina quasi subito

Deletealla fine anch'io ho dovuto ripiegare sul deborah, perché ne ho provati diversi ed erano tutti Satin :( sono veramente rari, però il bianco matt fa sempre la sua figura! :)
