ABC challenge: Revlon Indigo Night

Time for letter R and I picked a worldwide popular brand: Revlon. I quite like this brand (both make-up and nail polish) but I had never tested their Colorstay nail polishes. ABC challenge was a good chance to do so!

My choice is Revlon Indigo Night (180) which is a lovely cobalt blue despite the name. Formula is fantastic, it's so creamy and dries extremely shiny. Just be warned it's very watery so you gotta be careful not to flood your cuticles, which I totally did and I had to do some major clean up.

Two coats, no top coat.

Oggi per la lettera R dell'alfabeto ho scelto un brand famosissimo: Revlon. E' una marca che mi piace molto, sia come make-up che come smalti, ma di questi ultimi non avevo ancora provato la linea Colorstay. Questa challenge è stata un'ottima scusa per testarne uno!

La scelta è riceduta su Revlon Indigo Night (180) che, nonostante il nome, è un bel blu cobalto, e non un indaco. La formulazione è ottima, cremosa, e una volta asciutto questo smalto è davvero lucido. Occhio però che è abbastanza liquido, quindi bisogna fare attenzione a non inondarsi le cuticole di smalto. Ovviamente io l'ho dato senza starci attenta e poi ho dovuto fare un lavoro di pulizia assurdo.

Due passate senza top coat.

As you can see it's extremely shiny on its own so I was kinda curious to check if a top coat would make any change. I recently bought Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond top coat, which lots of people were raving about.

In the below photo I only applied this top coat on one of my nails. Can you guess which one? I swear there's no visible difference.

Come potete vedere è già lucidissimo da solo ed ero curiosa di capire se un top coat potesse cambiare qualcosa. Di recente ho comprato il Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond top coat, "colpa" di Snappy Polish!

Nella foto sotto l'ho steso solo su un'unghia. Indovinate quale? Io non ho visto nessuna differenza.

Did you guess the top coated nail? It's my middle.

Despite not seeing any difference right when I applied top coat there was actually a BIG difference the day after. Fact is I woke up with bed sheet marks on all of my nails except for the one with top coat! And I painted my nails at noon, go figure! You'd better use a top coat for speeding up drying time which is obviously not fast at all.

Other than the dry time issue which can be easily solved I must say I am absolutely in love with this shade, it's just gorgeous! Do you agree?

Allora, avete indovinato? Quella col top coat è l'unghia del medio.

Anche se non c'è nessuna differenza lì per lì, l'ho poi notata il giorno dopo, e mica piccola! Infatti mi sono svegliata coi segni delle lenzuola su tutte le unghie tranne quella col top coat. E fate conto che lo smalto l'ho dato a ora di pranzo. Quindi meglio usare un top coat che velocizzi l'asciugatura, perchè questo smalto da solo non la fa evidentemente.

A parte l'inconveniente asciugatura devo dire che sono innamorata di questo smalto, è semplicemente stupendo. Siete d'accordo con me?
