Ciao a tutti!
Hi everyone!
Let’s head to Brazil for an indie nail polish. Because we want our wish-list to be super hard to find, right?
Last year Penelope Luz released a holographic collection called “Poison” which was inspired by venomous plants. Maybe it doesn’t sound new to you because I blogged about another shade myself: Penelope Luz Hortense.
Today I am gonna show you Penelope Luz Daphne, a holographic olive green nail polish. It takes two coats for perfect coverage, but they are super easy to paint. Unfortunately it doesn’t dry very glossy so I decided to add top coat. I think I choose the wrong one though because it really dulled the holo effect. I also got plenty of bubbles on all of my nails, which weren’t really visible but I could feel them under my fingers and they really bothered me. That’s why I only wore this beautiful shade for one day. Bubbles were due to the heat but I completely forgot to put my top coat in the fridge for a few minutes before use. My fault.
Anyway I shot my pics before top coat so what you see is two coats on their own.
Other than my self-created issues I think this nail polish is truly gorgeous and I’m definitely use it again soon, this time with a different top coat!
What do you think about it? Do you like the shade and holo sparkle? And which top coat are you using over holos?

DeleteKind of 'rotten' shade, it may be great for autumn :)
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I use green mostly in Summer, any shade of green!
ReplyDeleteGrazie!

DeleteWoah! I need that!
ReplyDeleteIt's really pretty!
DeleteIt is such a unique and beautiful shade and it looks gorgeous on you! Would really like to see if it would suit my skin tone as well! I use Seche Vite and I have never thought it to dull my holo experience, so you might wanna give that a try ;)
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of bloggers use Seche over holos and I have tried it myself, but I still get that feeling that it doesn't look the same afterwards.
DeleteOh I think I need this, it is beautiful. I have been using CND's Vinylux topcoat for holos because it is thick and doesn't drag the polish (plus lasts ages)
ReplyDeleteThat top coat has been in my wishlist forever but it's so expensive over here! I guess I might have to splurge on it sooner or later though!
