Hi everyone!
Today I am showing you yet another nail polish from new ICONails range by Catrice Cosmetics. This is no. 11 Go For Gold! It’s actually no gold at all, but an antique pink instead. It has a metallic finish, following the trend of these days. Application is easy but the formula is watery so you have to unload the brush before painting. There’s no way to hide brush strokes unfortunately, but this is not unusual for metallic finish. Drying time is quick.
Photos: two coats, no top coat.
It’s quite pretty but metallics are just not my cup of cake. I’ll have to check if it works for stamping so I can make a use of it.
What do you think of it?

ReplyDeleteEu achei lindo mesmo tendo ficado riscadinho.
DeleteObrigada!
I'm curious about the stamping possibility, too! For something called 'Gold' I would expect it to lean more yellow, but it's still a pretty polish
ReplyDeleteI definitely expect something more yellow, too!
DeleteThis is really pretty! I'd love metallics more if they weren't so streaky in their application. There is always the sponging method, but I don't have the patience to attempt that. haha
ReplyDeleteI've tried once and failed, not gonna bother about it again!
DeleteBummer it's so streaky but I usually find those are the best for stamping!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed!
DeleteBased off the name I was expecting a bit more golden hue but its still a pretty color. I'm curious as to how well it would stamp?
ReplyDeleteI will test it as soon as possible!
DeleteI quite like the metallic look. Maybe if you sponged it it won't be so streaky? Maybe try stamping over it? It it a gorgeous color though.
ReplyDeleteSponging could probably help but I'm too lazy!
DeleteThe brush strokes are quite visible, so not my kind of nail polish :( Though, I think it is usable for nail art!
ReplyDeleteThank you Andrea!
DeleteI really want to see how this stamps!
ReplyDeleteI shall try it soon!
DeleteBellissimo colore!
