Hi everyone!
I am showing you another pink mani today to remind you that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Keep yourself checked and beg your beloved ones to do the same.
Let’s go back to a happier note i.e. the nail art! My base is Catrice ICONails no. 31 Vegas Is The Answer stamped with Bornpretty special stamping polish in pink no. 16 and trasparent silicone stamping plate no. 4* from tosave.com. I mattified the mani with TNS Flash Mat top coat, except for my last photo where you can see the glossy version.
It’s my first time using a silicone plate and it’s way more difficult to use than the standard metallic ones. I’ve tried several stamping polishes and stampers but every time I get polish left all over. I begged for help in a Facebook group and several ladies told me the key is the scraper. You gotta use a firm scraper and scrape hard. I have no very hard scraper over here so I used the firmest I could find and this is the best I could get with it. You can see that there’s light pink all over the nails, out of the pattern itself. Honestly I’m giving it up. I can’t spend all this time on a mani, I’m all about being quick. 10 minutes is the max time I can spend on a manicure. Seriously. I am definitely going back to my beloved metallic plates. There are tons of them and they are gorgeous. I need no new funky stuff.
In the end I would say silicone plates are not what you want if you are beginners. If you fancy trying them though you can get a silicone plate and a very good clear stamper for just 1$ at tosave.com, so you won’t go bankrupt for sure. And if you are into hair extensions you can check SheinHair, too.

Love the colorcombination! I've never tried that kind of stampingplate. Don't really se the meaning of having it in silicone.
ReplyDeleteI was intrigued by the "news" but it was a fail.
DeleteChe bella questa nail art! la prevenzione è fondamentale!!
ReplyDeleteGrazie Sara!
DeleteI have never even seen a silicone plate before! It's interesting but sounds like a lot of work.
ReplyDeleteIt does!
DeleteIt super important indeed to make the yearly breast check ups. I am the living proof that treatment can help! Well, as you sad, happy thoughts. I never used silicone plates and as you describe I rather stay with the metallic ones :) I like the outcome of the stamping and I think I prefer the glossy finish more here. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Andrea! That's so good it could help you.
DeleteYou know what? I loved it glossy, too!
These are absolutely lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kerry!
Grazie Emanuela!
DeleteToo bad it was so difficult to use! Even so, it looks pretty, like the background is marbled.
ReplyDeleteI had the same feeling! When I tried using it with contrasting colours it was obvious that the stamping was all smudged. These colours helped indeed and you kinda can't understand if it's the base or the stamping!
DeleteChe bella! Mai usata una "plate" in silicone, adesso mi hai incuriosita ;-)
ReplyDeleteSe la provi voglio sapere tutto!
