Me, My Nails and I

Today I have kind of an award/tag/let’s get to know each other better that my polish-friend Elena at Ere K.'s Beauty Shelf shared with me. 1) How many nail polish bottles do you own? Less than 300 and more than 250. 2) Where do you store them? In a Helmer 3) What’s the first nail polish you’ve ever bought? Now how do I remember it? I remember though that I loved the Maybellines Express Finish (mind you, I had no idea what quick drying top coats were at that time) 4) Which is the last you’ve bought? I actually bought 4 in my last shopping trip. Catrice I’m A Star on sale and a set of 3 by H&M. 5) Which is your favourite brand? Hard one. I would say Nyx. 6) One and one only for each category: Base: Nailtek Foundation II Top Coat: Seche Vite Pink: Catrice Big Spender Wanted Fucsia: BeYu 399 Nude: I’m still searching for the perfect nude! Orange: generally a colour I don’t like and I really have only a few. If I had to choose I’d say Basic Beauty (Limoni) 118 which is a yellow to orange duochrome Red: I don’t like red on my nails. Brown: Nyx Girls Smoldering Purple: this is getting difficult. I love purple! Let’s pick Nyx Purple Noir. Blue: Essence Midnight Charm Green: my favourite colour together with purple (on my nails). Catrice Welcome in the Jungle. Gray: can Layla holo Flash Black be considered gray? If not, China Glaze Sea Spray Baby or light blue (I choose teal): China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic - Random categories: a nomination to Color Club Voodoo You Do for being such an impossible colour to describe Glitter: Nyx Girls Frizzy Spots 7) Favourite finish? Duo/multichrome and holo. 8) Natural or gel/fake nails? Natural. 9) Special effects (shatter, magnetic etc) or nail art? I don’t like special effects except glitters on top of my tips but I bought some nail art stamping plates and I’d love to practise with them. 10) Do you use any nail treatment? Sure I do the Nailtek Foundation II as my base coat which is antipeeling and strengthening. Then cuticles cremes and oils and moisturising cremes for my hands. 11) Nails for beginners: what shouldn’t miss in the beauty case of a beginner? A protecting base coat and a nail polish remover pen. I find these pens great for beginners who are not likely to use acetone and a brush to remove the excess polish from their cuticles. Plus any brands produces/sells them by now. That’s all! I won’t tag anyone but if you like this lil’ game I’d be happy to read your own on your blogs!

In un Helmer 3) Qual è il primo smalto che tu abbia mai comprato? E come faccio a ricordarmi!! Cmq “da giovane” adoravo i Maybelline Express Finish (e mica sapevo cos’erano i quick drying top coat allora) 4) Qual è l’ultimo? L'ultimo… uno? Sono 4 che ho preso tutti assieme! Forse la Nyx. 6) Uno e un solo smalto preferito per ogni categoria: Base: Nailtek Foundation II Top Coat: Seche Vite Rosa: Catrice Big Spender Wanted Fucsia: BeYu 399 Nude: lo sto ancora cercando il nude perfetto! Arancio: in generale l’arancio è il colore che mi piace meno e ne ho davvero pochi. Dovendo scegliere azzarderei il Basic Beauty (Limoni) 118 che è un duochrome giallo/arancio Rosso: non mi piacciono i rossi! Marrone: Nyx Girls Smoldering Viola: qua andiamo sul difficile. Io adoro il viola! Diciamo il Nyx Purple Noir. Blu: Essence Midnight Charm Verde: il mio colore preferito assieme al viola (per gli smalti). Catrice Welcome in the Jungle. Grigio: il Layla holo Flash Black si può considerare grigio? Altrimenti il China Glaze Sea Spray Azzurro: China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic - Categorie sparse: una nomina per colore non meglio definito va al Color Club Voodoo You Do Glitter: Nyx Girls Frizzy Spots 7) Finish preferito? Duo/multichrome e holo.   8) Unghie naturali, unghie finte o ricostruite? Naturali.   9) Effetti speciali (shatter, magnetic) o nail art? Non mi piacciono nè i magnetici nè gli shatter (che usavo alle scuole medie tanto tempo fa) ma ho comprato delle piastrine per stamping e mi piacerebbe migliorare con questa tecnica!   10) Usi dei prodotti di trattamento per la salute e/o la bellezza delle tue unghie? Il NailTek Foundation II che uso come base è una base antisfaldamento e rinforza le unghie. Poi naturalmente creme e oli per le cuticole e creme per le mani.   11) Nails for beginners: cosa non dovrebbe mancare nel beauty di una principiante? Una base protettiva per le unghie! E una penna imbevuta di solvente per rimuovere lo smalto in eccesso (per una principiante, che non sta certo a usare acetone e pennello, sono ottime queste penne che ormai si trovano di tutte le marche!) E questo è tutto! Non taggo nessuno ma se vi piace questo giochino leggerò con piacere le vostre risposte sui vostri blog!
