B by Limoni (Basic Beauty) 118

Hi everyone! Here’s my very first swatch of a Basic Beauty nail polish. Also called B by Limoni, this brand can be found in Limoni shops all over Italy. I’ve always tried to stay away from this polishes but in the end I surrendered and got home with 3 of them. First one I applied is this awesome bright colour which is perfect for summer. It’s a yellow/golden orange-y that looks great on my pale skin tone. YAY! First, let me tell you that on Limoni’s webshop these polishes also have a name, which is not shown on the bottle. And the names are really pretty. Unfortunately the 3 bottles I own don’t seem to be available online so I have no names for my babies. This one is #118. Orangey yellow I’ll call it. Shimmer. Formula is great, it applies smoothly, it dries out fast, it doesn’t stain the nails. Whatever. Unfortunately these polishes are not very covering. In the following photos you’ll see 3 coats. Not that it’s a problem honestly, even for one like me who’s pissed off by applying more than two coats. This is the exception I mean because I haven’t even realised I applied three, I didn’t have to wait between coats, I had no problems whatsoever. That means it was a fast mani anyway. And what to say about the colour? A summerish awesomeness. You know gold doesn’t look on me but this one is so orangey. On me it looks great. And it’s not like a normal yellow creme, it’s very elegant despite the colour. Loving it! These polishes retail for 4 euros/5,5 USD and the bottle is 12 ml if I am not mistaken. They cost a little more than Catrice or Kiko, which you’re normally good to go with two coats, but this brand has soo many colours in all the shades! I think I’ll definitely buy more. Plus I’m pretty sure there are at least 4 or 5 duochromes in the line. And if you’re following me you know I love duochromes!

Ciao a tutte! Eccomi col mio primo swatch di uno smalto Basic Beauty, anche chiamato B by Limoni, marca che è appunto venduta nelle profumerie Limoni in tutta Italia. Mi sono sempre trattenuta dal comprarli ma alla fine ho ceduto e ne ho presi tre. Il primo che ho provato è questo bellissimo colore acceso perfetto per l’estate. Un color oro/giallo molto aranciato che sta benissimo sulla mia carnagione chiara. Evviva! Dunque, comincio col dire che se andate sul sito della Limoni gli smalti hanno anche un nome oltre a un numero, esattamente come la Kiko. E hanno dei nomi meravigliosi. Olive all’Ascolana, Noi Puffi Siamo Così. Magnifici. Purtroppo però nessuno dei tre che ho comprato io appare sul sito e quindi ho solo il numero, il 118. Giallo aranciato ce lo metto io. Shimmer. La formula. Dunque, la formula è fantastica, nel senso che si stende una favola, si asciuga in fretta, non macchia, quel che volete. Purtroppo però questi smalti sono poco coprenti. Nelle foto sono 3 passate di smalto. Non che sia un problema in questo caso. Io sono una persona difficile e odio dare più di due mani di smalto ma in questo caso faccio un’eccezione perchè non me ne sono nemmeno accorta. Non ho dovuto aspettare tra una mano e l’altra e quindi è stato cmq velocissimo. E poi che dire del colore? Una meraviglia estiva. Sapete che a me i dorati non stanno bene ma avendo questo una fortissima base arancione la storia cambia del tutto. Addosso è davvero bello. E non è “esagerato” come un normale giallo crema, è perfino elegante. Promosso a pieni voti insomma! Gli smalti B by Limoni costano 4 euro, la bottiglietta se non erro è 12ml, un po’ più di un Kiko e di un Catrice che magari non hanno bisogno di 3 mani, però ci sono talmente colori nelle varie tonalità che penso davvero che ne prenderò altri. Senza contare che ne ho addocchiati almeno 4 o 5 che sicuramente sono duochrome. E se mi seguite sapete quanto io ami i duochrome!
