Mish Mash challenge #2: taping!

Hi everyone!

Here I am again with the most wonderful group of ladies who push me to be always better!

Today we have taping themed manis for you and I did my longest nail art ever. I swear I won’t do anything like this ever again! But the result is still gorgeous to my eyes!

Ed eccoci di nuovo all’appuntamento “di tutto un po’” con queste blogger iper creative che mi stimolano a migliorarmi sempre più!

Oggi la manicure è a tema “taping” ovvero scotch e questa è stata in assoluto la nail art più lunga che ho fatto. Giuro che non rifarò mai più niente del genere. In ogni caso adoro il risultato.

Sorry for the poor clean-up but I had to finish pieces of it at work since I never have such a long time at home to play with polish!

And here’s the polishes I’ve used to create it, mixing and matching different finishes:

Scusate per la poca pulizia attorno alle cuticole ma l’ho fatta a pezzi anche in ufficio perchè non passo mai abbastanza tempo a casa da riuscire a fare qualcosa di così lungo.

E questi sono gli smalti che ho usato per crearla, mischiando diversi finish:

    I was hoping someone would do a colorblock & use the striping tape like this. I knew it would be time consuming, but your results are just stunning! I just love this! Confidential is one beautiful color!

      Thank you Liz! It is very time consuming, esp. because I used a matte and a textured polish so I couldn't use a top coats to speed up the process. Never again!

    Bella lì Simo! Mi piacciono un sacco queste manicure in cui lo striping tape non viene rimosso ma diviene parte integrante della nail art, if you know what I mean. :D

      Per me è più che altro un modo di nascondere linee di demarcazione non perfette, ma ok! Non è male a guardarlo cmq :D

    E' stata così lunga da fare? Mamma mia!! Almeno il risultato è una grande soddisfazione per gli occhi: complimenti!!!*_____* Il P2 lo trovo il colore più bello, un mix fra il blu e il marrone?

      Lunghissima perchè ho usato uno smalto matte e uno textured quindi non ho potuto velocizzare il tutto col Seche! E far asciugare ogni singolo gradino alla perfezione è veramente luuuuunga!
      Il P2 è un colore particolare, grigio-blu-rosso direi :D

    Adoro il Wjcon e l'H&M metallic matte! *___* E anche tutto l'ensemble, ovviamente, il geometrico fa sempre la sua figura!

    I agree with Diana, wholeheartedly. The time and effort you put into this nail art really paid off. It's fabulous. Those blocks of color aren't easy for me to do, so I understand the patience involved.

    Cristina, you NAILED IT! The colors and formulas you chose, and the patterns you devised.....

      It was suuuuper time consuming! The blocks themselves are not hard for me to do, plus they don't need to be perfect if I cover them with tape, but using a matte and a textured really made the whole process longer than ever because I couldn't use a fast drying top coat in-between!

      Con questi particolari smalti sì, perchè non ho potuto passare il Seche sul matte nè sul sand. Cmq è lunga lo stesso...

      Thank you Barbara! Yeah, it takes so much patience and time that I also won't do it again! And I don't believe yours came out rubbish, unless you were not patient and didn't wait the coats to dry! ;)

    Time consuming but Epic...so glad you took the time to do this one, since it's utterly gorgeous!!!! I love the different finishes and the striping tape. I would never have the patience for this one! This is definitely one of my faves from this challenge!
