Hi everyone!

Let me tell you I was so crazy busy this week that I was almost posting the wrong finish today! But I’m done now, fortunately foil is one of my ever favourite finishes so I have plenty of photos to use!

As you might have understood, we’re talking foil today. Foil finish has a metallic base but the sparkles inside are not as smooth as the metallic finish. Basically, imagine grinding some glitters leaving it ultrafine that the particles can actually be recognized in the base. That’s a foil. Super fine glitters particles that are smooth to the touch but not to the sight.

Questa settimana è stata talmente piena che stavo perfino sbagliando il finish di oggi. Per fortuna ho risolto tutto, si parla di foil ed essendo uno dei miei finish preferiti ho valanghe di foto :)

Il finish foil ha una base metallica ma lo sbrilluccichìo non è lo stesso del finish metallico. Immaginate di macinare del glitter molto finemente ma senza polverizzarlo del tutto. Le particelle del glitter devono rimanere visibili e riconoscibili all’interno della base. Ecco, quello è un foil. Le particelle che fanno brillare lo smalto sono visibili all’occhio ma impalpabili al tatto.

I think it’s quite easy to spot a foil and it’s always been a favourite finish for me. What about you? Do you like foils? And it is easy for you to identify them?
Io trovo molto facile capire quando uno smalto è foil ed è sempre stato uno dei finish che amo di più. E voi che mi dite? Vi piace? E lo riconoscete facilmente?

    L'ultima foto è un colpo al cuore (e non è la prima volta che la mostri e che io soffro!), perché non ho nessuno degli smalti fotografati e mi piacciono tutti! Per fortuna mi consolo con lo Shaka!

    I'm not a huge fan of foils, but it mostly depens on the colour :) I'm absolutely in love with Essence Style Me Love, but I dislike Catrice Forevergreen. So, for me it depends on how it's made and what colour it is.

    Oh siiii che mi piace il foil, è anche uno dei miei finish preferiti!
    Ero convinta che per l'occasione avresti sfoderato anche qualche Basic Beauty Limoni, sai? Certo questi non li fanno rimpiangere molto, son tutti così belli *____*

    Stavo per fare casino anche io!! Cmq, il foil lo amerrimo (???), è uno dei miei finish preferiti e trovo sia più facile definire lui che un metallico. Ma a noi due ci vendevano nello stesso pacchetto?

      Grazie! I Glam sono parecchi e meritano tutti, ma alla fine bastano un paio di colori (anche perchè son tutti in scala di colore da giallo a rosso) :D

    Foils tend to clash hard with my skin tone, but you pull them off flawlessly! Very lovely.

    Foils are not one of my favorite finishes but only because most of them suffer from horrible brushstrokes. I do like the ones that lean more to the micro glitter finish rather than a true foil though.

    You know, I don't really wear foil polishes that often but these all seem really nice!! The Shaka and Relvon polishes are so pretty!

    While I love the looks of a good foil, the removal part is what keeps me from wearing them more often.. shimmers everywhere!
