& Other Stories Vanities Hazel

Last week I meet my buddy Cristina who’s a nail blogger at Pee Before Polish and we went shopping together in a big city half way between the two of us. There are a lot of stores there that we usually have no access to and this year we had one more surprise. A & Other Stories store has opened there! If you don’t know what I am talking about, & Other Stories is the chic sibling of H&M, which also means more expensive btw.

Anyway, I scored a couple nail polish 50% off and I grabbed them to test their quality. First one I decided to wear is & Other Stories Vanities Hazel.

& Other Stories Vanities Hazel is a shimmery olive green which in some lighting has a bronze hue. The shimmer is quite stunning but the formula was not. I didn’t expect to be as sheer as it turned out to be! I decided to go for two thick coats that lead me to quite visible brushstrokes. Three thin coats would have been a better choice.

La scorsa settimana ho passato una giornata a Bologna con Cristina del blog Pee Before Polish e ci siamo date allo shopping. Bologna è a metà strada tra di noi e ci sono negozi più particolari che nelle nostre rispettive cittadine, quindi ogni tanto ci facciamo un salto. Quest’anno ci ha riservato una sorpresa di più: un negozio & Other Stories. Se non sapete di cosa sto parlando, & Other Stories è il fratello più chic e costoso di H&M.

Cmq, ho trovato un paio di smalti saldati al 50% e ho deciso di comprarli e testarne la qualità. Il primo che ho indossato è & Other Stories Vanities Hazel.

& Other Stories Vanities Hazel è uno smalto verde oliva perlato con una forte componente color bronzo. Il luccichìo è bello forte, ma la qualità lascia a desiderare. Non mi aspettavo proprio che fosse poco coprente. Ho dato due pennellate corpose e mi sono rimasti tutti i segni ben visibili. Tre passate sottili sarebbero state una scelta migliore.

 

 

It is that kind of shade I love but it’s nowhere near unique and definitely not worth the 7,00€ price tag. I am quite relieved I paid it half price to be honest!

E’ un tipo di colore che a me piace molto, ma non è niente di speciale nè di unico e di sicuro non vale i 7,00€ del cartellino. Per fortuna che l’ho pagato la metà!
