Ciao a tutti!
Take Me To Your Chateau.
Tre passate + top coat.
Hi everyone!
Today's star is something that’s been in my wishlist forever: Color Club Take Me To Your Chateau. Every time I saw swatches on other nail blogs I knew I had to have it. Last summer I finally gave up and purchased it.
Color Club Take Me To Your Chateau is a pale blue creme that is perfect both for Spring and Winter. Formula wise it's quite thick so you'd better paint thin coats. I started with a medium coat, and when I went for the second one I had some dragging issues. I had to add a third coat, which is something you'd want to avoid. In the end it was quite obvious I had 3 medium coats on and my nails were super thick. I tried to smooth it with top coat and it kinda worked fortunately.
Three coats + top coat.

Let's face it: as much as I like this colour, pastels don't look that good on me as they do on different skin tones. I just can't pull them off the way I'd love to. I should seriously stop purchasing them overall and spend my money on dusty colours that I know I’d rock!
How do you feel about pastels, esp. in this season? And what about this one, do you lust it as much as I did?

Lovely blue! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteA me piacciono, mi mettono tanta allegria.
ReplyDeletePerò a me non pare che Take me to your chateau ti stia male, anzi! ^-^
No waste!

Grazie Valentina!
DeleteI had this one but as it contained formaldehyde, I don't have it atm :) But it is a beauttiful blue!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI like very much pastels and I wear them now and than, but I prefer darker shades! I don't think that this color looks wrong on you, I like it!
ReplyDeleteThank you Andrea! It makes me lobster hands, it probably doesn't show in the macro!
DeleteChe smalto adorabile!
DeleteIt is a gorgeous shade, but I look super pale with pastels so I have always made sure to stay clear of them. They do find their way to my Helmer every now and then though...
ReplyDeleteThank you Dina! Same for me.
DeleteYour swatches are glorious! What a lovely color, despite not having a perfect formula!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cat!

ReplyDeleteThank you Helen! It makes me lobster hands but it probably doesn't show in the macro photos!
DeleteI love pastels! And this polish is one of my favorites. I saw it used in a mani a year or so ago and had to have it. Thank you for the great photos!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It happened the same to me!
DeleteI don't think it looks bad on you at all! It's a beautiful shade of blue!

ReplyDeleteThanks Marisa!
DeleteThis is so pretty! My son said it reminds him of a pretty blue summer sky.
ReplyDeleteI feel like a Summer sky would be a tad darker over here, but yeah!
DeleteWhat a beautiful light blue!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeletePastels are hit or miss on me, and depend a lot on formula and how bright the base is. It is a shame the formula isn't great on this one, Color Clubs are usually not that bad and most pastels are better when thin
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything! For me though, they look good on my skin tone if they have some grey, no matter if they are bright or not.
DeleteI think you're crazy for thinking pastels don't look good on you. This is lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Deleteoh blue <3
ReplyDeleteHow couldn't I agree?
