Shaka Hologram Rose

This is a pre-made post since I am probably swimming and getting suntan right now! If I don’t answer you immediately you know why.

Today’s polish is Shaka Hologram Rose. Shaka is a young and super cheap brand that is coming out with a lot of interesting shades, collections, finish and what else. Lovely! And I was stunned when I knew they even launched a holo collection which is just as amazing as Laylas but about 1/4 the price. Shaka is quite difficult to find though. There are no shops in my area that carry it. I had to ask a fellow blogger, Shirley at Moda Na Mao, to grab some and ship them to me.

But let’s get to it. The one I’ve decided to start with is #02, Shaka Hologram Rose, a pink holo. Well, let me tell you, I’ve never had any holo so difficult to apply. I guess the more difficult the application is and the more holo effect it has. Really. Think of Layla application and multiply x3. And I used an aqua base. Go figure. Sure the result is probably worth it but, not for me. Application is a big thing for me, I can’t spend 20 mins for 3 coats of polish.

Questo è un post automatico perchè in questo momento io sono probabilmente in piscina a prendere il sole. Quindi, se non rispondo subito ai commenti, sapete perchè!

Lo smalto di oggi è lo Shaka Hologram Rose. Come sapete Shaka è un marchio abbastanza giovane che sta uscendo con tante collezioni, bellissimi colori, molti finish diversi e quant’altro. Sono rimasta impressionata quando ho visto che avevano perfino lanciato una collezione olografica bella quanto i Layla ma a 1/4 del prezzo. La pecca è che ancora la Shaka è difficile da reperire. Per avere gli olografici mi sono dovuta fare aiutare da Shirley di Moda Na Mao che me li ha gentilmente comprati e spediti.

Ma passiamo oltre. Il primo che ho deciso di provare è stato il n. 02, Hologram Rose, olografico rosa. Bhe, fatemelo dire, non ho mai avuto un olografico così difficile da stendere. Penso che più sia difficile la stesura e più sia l’effetto. Però davvero, pensate a un Layla e moltiplicate per 3. E ho perfino usato una base acquosa. Forse ne vale la pena per il risultato, ma non per me. Non ho 20 minuti da perdere per mettere lo smalto.
